Clay Workshop – Holly Wreath – Mon 28th Sept – 6.30pm-9pm

Get ready for the festive season with this beautiful holly clay wreath workshop.

This project will include two visits, the first, this workshop, to make your wreath from clay using the slab build method and a second visit in your own time paint your wreath. You will need a third visit to collect your finished piece. (Both sessions included in the price).

FREE set of LED lights to finish off your wreath with a flourish!

All resources needed will be provided.

Hot drink included.

You will leave your wreath with us to dry and bisque fire ready for you to come back for your second visit to paint in your own time.

On your second visit, you will have access to an extended range of glazes that are not available to the main workshop and you will leave the wreath with us to over-glaze and put through a second firing.

Once your wreath has had a final firing, we will contact you to collect them.

This workshop will be held in THE STUDIO, next door to the main workshop.

Suitable for beginners, keen potters and enthusiastic crafters alike!

If you’d like to reduce the number of visits to us, you don’t have to paint them. We can apply a clear over-glaze resulting in a natural, off-white, minimalist look that fits in any decorative scheme at home.

Your wreath will be ready to paint in approximately 2-4 weeks to allow for drying and first bisque firing. Once painted, we will pop your mugs into the next kiln load to turn them around as quickly as possible.

***BEFORE BOOKING*** – Please note the following important information:

• Whilst not necessary for this project, should you wish to have more painting time, there will be an additional studio fee of £15 applied for any visits made at the weekend in addition to the second one included in this workshop price. There will be no additional charge for any extra  mid-week visits during the day in term time.
• We ask that once your piece has had it’s first firing, that you come and pick it up within 2 weeks. You may paint it on collection or come back at a time of your choosing. We ask this as we have a limited amount of space for drying and storing.
• Full refund offered up to 4 weeks before the event, after this time, there will be no refund. You may transfer your place to someone else if you wish.
• Photos shown are for inspiration only. Stamps and prints that we have available at the event may vary to those shown. We offer no guarantee of a perfect end result, such is the nature of pottery… hence the expression “Pot luck”… our success rate is, to date, pretty high! Anyone who watches The Great Pottery Throwdown will know things don’t always go to plan despite everyone’s best efforts. We will however endeavour to get the best possible outcome and that you have a lovely experience making your pot with us.
